What Do I Smell Like
By: Dove Byrd

What do I smell like;
Cayenne pepper
a teardrop yet to be licked
rolling down an unknown cheek
a small breath
taken in an instant when the subway car comes
my fathers Caribbean cooking
a song I can't remember yet loved as a child
a lovers sigh
the tangled knots in my hair
a dragonfly floating on a summers breeze
a kiss on the nose
a dream while awake
